new year…new memories!

It’s so strange to think of myself as a small business owner…but I am. It seemed such an impossible dream over a year ago and now even more surreal when I think about it!

I just wanted to take some time to thank all of you {my wonderful clients, admirers of my work, and any other special loves I may have missed} for your never ceasing encouragement. Without each and every one of you contributing to this small idea, it would not have become the rewarding business it has grown into. I can only hope that people continue to enjoy what I do and can see the love I have for photography through my images. I’m so excited for what suprises this new year has to offer and the new faces that will fill my lens!

I hope you will all still be with me through this incredible chapter in my life and that I can continue to grow not only in business and life but also in my relationship with God {without who this talent would not even exist}.

I’ll leave you {and 2013} with my last session of the year…that just so happens to be the engagement of one of my best friends!

{much love + well wishes in this new year}

{alicia+gabe | panama city wedding}

Happy Monday All!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic December {even though it’s ending much too quickly}!

Here’s a little something to brighten your holiday spirit…Alicia and Gabe were such an amazing couple to photograph. They didn’t need much direction or me to tell them to hug, kiss, or just be loving towards each other…it all came so naturally. Couples like this make my job so wonderful! I could feel their excitement and affection in every click of my shutter.

Everything was so beautifully sweet..from Alicia’s breath-taking dress, to her flowing lace veil, right down to the ease of which her and Gabe flowed together. I can only hope and pray that every wedding I get to photograph is filled with so much joy and love!

Enjoy this week as you prepare for {Christmas} + family love!

paper cuts

I always love when new clients have new locations for me to use! I get inspired through change in my surroundings and nothing does that better than a location that I’ve never used.

Carly and Joey were amazing clients…so sweet and you could definitely tell {in love}….especially with their two pups Bob and Abby. I couldn’t have asked for better weather, a more loving couple, or a more beautiful location. Carly actually owns her own stationary business {for all you frantic brides out there} and loves to make invitations/cards!

Her etsy site isĀ www.etsy.com/shop/papercutsstationary and her work is absolutely adorable!

Happy Fall!

wedded bliss {rain or shine}

Hello all of you anxious new brides! This post is for you…are you paying attention?

Would you believe me if I told you I shot this wedding in the rain? Well I did! The very BEST lighting comes from the nastiest of days. It makes your skin tone even and appear baby soft. There’s no worry of squinting or harsh shadows when Gods natural diffuser is at work.

So, don’t fret! If you have a good photographer and you trust them to take care of you on your special day, then you have nothing to be afraid of…not even RAIN! And if you can’t find one….call me!

Hope everyone can enjoy Kelly+Sam’s wedding photos as much as I do!

{happy days!}

Carrie
